New Bloompapers: Famous Faces!

We’re not saying that bloompapers has in any way been lacking in glamour – but with the launch of these fabulous new Hollywood faces murals we have finally worked out what was missing from the bloompapers website!  Yes bloomies, a little bit of Brad, a splash of Brigitte and a smattering of Clint was just what we were needing!  Have a look at our new range of murals featuring the legends of the silver screen and the masters of jazz and let your imagination fly!  There truly is no limit to what you can have on your walls!

IguapopGallery: fashion shop&art gallery!

We are very lucky living in Barcelona with a wealth of art and design inspiration on our doorstep and we love it when we come across new exhibitions, particularly when it’s something just that little bit different!  Iguapop is a gallery which opened in2003 inthe Gothic quarter of the city and since then it has been showcasing some incredible talent including that of Catalina Estrada whose work is super original and would look fabulous in contemporary setting.  All of the artists sway towards a more urban style which is why we love it so much – in bloompapers we have an amazing display of urban art too done by very talented artists!  Aren’t we just spoilt for choice?!

 En uno de esos paseos por la maravillosa ciudad antigua de Barcelona, pasando del barrio gótico, al moderno y renovado barrio del Borne, dirigiendo nuestros pasos hacia el tranquilo parque de la ciudadela, nos encontramos con un espacio que nos sorprende: la tienda de moda y galería de arte Iguapop.  Esta gallería/tienda fue inaugurada en 2003, y desde ese momento no han dejado de pasar artistas increíbles, a nosotros nos gustaría destacar ala artista Catalina Estrada de la cual os sonarán trabajos cómo el que hizo para Coca-cola, pero no menospreciar a la cantidad de buenos artistas que han pasado porla galería. Todos crean arte urbano ya que es una de la tendencias que pegan más fuerte en el arte popular, pero también en la decoración de paredes, y sino echar un vistazo a bloompapers en su apartado de imágenes o artistas, animaros a dar un toque de arte urbano a vuestros espacios!

Rachel Denny: A head above the rest!

Just look at this new artist we’re discovered!  Rachel Denny’s take on the age-old hunting tradition of mounting stag’s heads on the wall really caught our eye; what a makeover she’s given them!  It’s a fabulously stylish way of updating a traditional look (not to mention being a bit more animal friendly) and we just love the colours she’s used.  The re-created animal heads are covered with a lush cashmere knit and certainly make a change from hanging frames or mirrors.  The only drawback?  We’re not sure you can buy them…. anywhere….!  They are featured in galleries and on her website and we’re sure if there is enough demand she may start to sell them, so get on to her people!  Have a look at racheldenny.com/home.html.

Queremos compartir con vosotros las creaciones dela artista Rachel Denny; ella misma destaca su atracción por ‘la naturaleza exuberante en un inesperado ambiente urbano’. Suponemos que es de esa afirmación de donde salen todas sus obras; Rachel es conocida por lo que ella llama ‘trofeos domésticos’. Algunos de estos trofeos domésticos recrean la decoración antigua de hace  años; cabezas de animales disecados en la pared. ¡Pero no os asustéis, en el mundo del arte todo vale! Recrea las formas de diferentes animales y las cubre por ejemplo con un agradable y bonito cachemir. Es importante saber que cada pieza es única, ninguna se repite. New Bloom artist: Viktoria Begg!

As if it were possible to make it any more difficult to choose which bloompaper you want – we’ve magically found a brand new bloom artist for you!  Viktoria Begg is a photographer from Scotland and we’re so excited that she’s given her images to us to make amazing murals for your walls – they are just beautiful.  Whether you are looking for a vibrant yellow field flower, abstract city shots of NY or super original images for children, there is something here which is sure to take your breathe away.  Viktoria says she is ‘lost without a camera in her hand’ and we can see just why.  Have a look at bloompapers.com

Colourful new murals for kids in Bloompapers!

 

We want to make sure there’s a little bit for everyone in bloompapers which is why a few days ago we anounced the arrival of our new artist Teo Tarras for the more daring interior designer in you! Now we’ve changed tack a little and are totally excited about the arrival of our new collection for the little people in your life- a collection of colourful, bright and cheerful children’s murals, full of fun. But now comes the problem of which one to pick! Toy cars in a traffic jam, dancing animals, hippy flowers and even flamenco dancers are among the designs! We think children’s bedrooms and playrooms should inspire play and feed their imaginations with adventure – so we invite you to take a look and see for yourself what spectacular wall murals they are!

A couple of friends chatting over a drink, or passengers bobbing along on a bus are things that we look at every day – so who would have thought that they could be transformed into such beautiful works of art? Susana del Baño is a Barcelona illustrator who uses her imagination to transform simple observations into beautiful things to have around us.  She’s one of our exclusive Bloom artists and we urge you to have a peek at her images, they are surprising and simply beautiful!

Serenity seems to be the principle inspiration for this Spanish photographer, who uses panoramic vistas to create breath taking photos of beaches, woods and horizons. Tanya Davis is a relatively unknown Canadian artist over here who has a truly captivating style of poetry, writing and acting, not only for the melody of the music and the rhythm of the words, but also for the artistic style which is imprinted onto every single thing she does.  We found this video which uses different illustrations to represent what the song is saying.  The technique used by Tanya is an example of what inspires us here at Bloompapers while choosing our designs for the wall murals!

Tanya Davis es una artista relativamente desconocida a nivel mundial de origen canadiense, cuyo concepto de poesía, escritura e interpretación resulta cautivante no sólo por la melodía de su música o el ritmo de sus letras, sino por el estilo artístico que le imprime a cada cosa que hace. Encontramos este video que utiliza diferentes ilustraciones para representar lo que dice la canción. La técnica usada por Tanya es la muestra del tipo de inspiración que nos gusta en Bloompapers a la hora de empapelar tu habitación.
